12:30 PM, Friday, July 15, 2005Once we tounched down in Cairo, our SQ regular "tour guide", Taurek, would approach us to find out wat r the places we r interested in visiting. He is the guy all SQ crew look for when touring ard here coz he is able to charge reasonable prices and gives us the best advice on when to give or not to give tips to the local ppl. The impression I haf of Cairo is not tat great. Looks juz lik India to mi tho.. Everywhere is dust and sand and the ppl drives and horn non-stop in order to haf their way on the road. Din spent much on sight-seeing. We went to the bazzar in the noon and Nile River cruise for dinner at nite. Our focus were not on the river cruise as we din even spent much time on the deck or looking out of the ship. In fact, our eyes r glued to the performers. Bascially r juz those local dancing... esp Belly Dancing. Haha.. tink the guys r drooling as they r watching sia...
The 2nd day , we went out early in the morning to the local museum as some of them wanted to buy local paintings wif their names written in Arabic language to b taken hm . Next, to the Pyramids. They r all SIMPLY AWESOME !!! They still look so soild despite of 5,000 yrs of history. Tried the camel-riding and I dunoe y I kept wanting to slide down to the right side. Luckily, Kenneth helped mi to maintain balance so tat I can help my team gers take pics who r seated juz at the next camel. :-p
The worst news on the flight was tat the handle of my cabin bag actualli BROKE !!! Wat the Heck !! I bght the cabin bag onli for 1 yr . Samsonite brand somemore... My LS (Leading Steward) Rime aso broke his cabin bag side handle.
Ok. Gonna send my bad for repair now.. continue when free..
